Our Mission: Changing the conditions that allow modern slavery to exist.

Slavery is the result of vulnerability. It flourishes where people cannot meet their basic needs and lack economic opportunity, education, health care, and honest government.

Slaves usually come from the poor, the desperate, the uneducated, the marginalized, and the unprotected. People are forced to work without pay, under threat of violence, and they’re unable to walk away.

Our strategy is to reduce people’s vulnerability, help those in slavery to freedom, and transform the political, economic, cultural, and social circumstances that make slavery possible.

Generating a Critical Mass of Conscious Commitment

With roots deep in the Amazon rainforest, our programs integrate indigenous wisdom with modern knowledge to support personal, and collective, transformation that is the catalyst to bringing forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially just human presence on this planet.

See how Pachamama Alliance is working to generate the critical mass of conscious commitment that can create a positive future.

The mission of the Human Thread foundation is to educate the public and drive awareness about human dignity and human trafficking through interactive exhibitions, educational programming, and global awareness campaigns.

The Bhutan Youth Development Fund is committed to making every youth a leader.

An estimated 56 percent of youth are younger than the age of 24. As Bhutan’s leading youth organization, we are working to ensure that all youth have equal access to education, meaningful employment and opportunities to develop their potential. Through advocacy work and strategic partnerships, we work to encourage youth participation, raise awareness of youth issues and promote youth-oriented policy. We invest in Bhutan’s future, one youth at a time.
