Lake Volta is the largest man-made lake in the world. The shoreline is dotted with remote fishing villages that can only be reached by water. It is estimated there are at least 4,000 children enslaved on Lake Volta. Every kid on the lake knows of another child who died in the nets. Most of the children suffer from skin diseases and parasitic worms. Malaria is common. Medical care is not.
